Motorhome Review: Pilote Pacific P740FC

This month’s motorhome review is our much-loved Fiat Ducato Pilote Pacific P740. The model is arguably, alongside the G740, the most popular Pilote motorhome we import to New Zealand.

It seems to be the perfect compromise in many aspects and the modern layout and design has proven to be most practical and popular with our customers.

​Measuring 7.4m, this model is a comfortable low-profile motorhome for two people with an island bed and face-to-face lounge.

​Each area is pleasant and separate. Its stylish details and quality fittings make this a perfect travel companion for short getaways or longer trips. With a 4 legal seats and optional berths in the lounge, it can carry up to 4 passengers.

The Bathroom

The P740FC features a separate shower cubicle and bathroom giving you perfect privacy away from the lounge and bedroom.

The Outside

There’s so much to love about this low-profile with its anti-hail polyester roof and walls. Its robust, hard-wearing structure has Grade 3 insulation classification.

​The walls ingeniously incorporate all the motorhome's service compartments.

​The large garage is low and can be loaded from both sides making it easy to bring your bikes or camping gear on the road.

The Lounge

The large lounge with face-to-face bench seats accommodates up to 5 people around the fold-out dining table.

It’s a perfect layout, both for entertaining and in terms of ease of movement.

The Bedroom

On the P740FC, the island bed is XL (150 x 190 cm); like all the other low-profiles in the Pacific range.

​After an action-packed day, you can relax in your bedroom in absolute comfort.

The Kitchen

The kitchen area is stylish and practical with an L-shaped worktop and a three-burner hob positioned opposite a large 3-way automatic fridge with separate freezer.
