What is a Talvor Motorhome?
You will find thousands of Talvor Motorhomes driving the roads of New Zealand, Australia and the USA. Most of these will be or have been branded as Apollo Motorhomes or Star RV. Talvor's in New Zealand were originally manufactured in Australia until the Talvor factory opened in Auckland in 2011.
Today Apollo Motorhomes don't just manufacture the Talvor range of motorhomes but they also manufacturer the Winnebagos having purchased the Winnebago rights in 2015. DeLuxe Group purchase many of the Talvor 2, 4 and 6 berth motorhomes from Apollo and put them through an extensive refurbishment programme.
We highlight in these pages some of the refurbishments which we do before these motorhomes are put onto the market ready for New Zealand freedom campers.

Talvor - 6 Berth Hercules
The Talvor 6 berth is our most popular Motorhome. By the time it has gone through our refurbishment process it comes out looking near new again. Fitted with new Solar Panels, Oven, Satellite Dish, TV with DVD these motorhomes are now ready for the New Zealand Freedom camper so that you can check out and get off the grid. The Talvor is very robust having been built strong for New Zealand conditions. Each Hercules Motorhome is slightly different and will be presented with a range of graphics.
The Talvor Hercules offers fantastic value for money when comparing to brand new. Most people only do a few thousand kilometres each year so having a Motorhome which is affordable, robust and looks the part is a very satisfying asset to have parked up your drive. See below if you would like to know more about the refurbishment process. |

Talvor - 4 Berth Pandora
The Talvor Pandora is a similar configuration to the Talvor Hercules however it has a drop-down bed located in the rear. The bed is suspended into the ceiling during the day and gets electrically lowered when you wish to retire for the night. This gives the advantage of not having to make up your bed each night. This model also has a separate shower and toilet.
The Talvor Pandora is retired from the Apollo fleet when it is 3 years old. It is known to be the top of the line for the Apollo rental fleet. As these Motorhomes are considerably newer than the Hercules they have usually only travelled around 120,000km. Fitted with new Solar Panels, Satellite Dish, TV with DVD these motorhomes are now ready for the New Zealand Freedom camper so that you can check out and get off the grid. |

What is the DeLuxe Talvor Refurbishment Process?
The following explanation is a pretty typical process that we go through when we purchase the 6 berth Talvor Hercules from Apollo Motorhomes. Each Motorhome is in slightly different condition when we receive it so no two refurbishments are the same. The process for the 2 berth Aquila is quite different due to the layout and design of the Motorhome and the refurbishment of the 4 berth Pandora is different again due to the fact that the Motorhome is usually much newer and its had a lot less use than the Hercules.
The Hercules Refurbishment
Apollo Motorhomes usually retire the Hercules from their rental fleet when they have their 5th year birthday. When these come out of rental fleet they are generally not well suited for the New Zealand freedom camper. They don't have Solar, TV/ DVD, Satellite dishes, Ovens and the likes. DeLuxe recognises that these are all features that are very important to the New Zealand freedom camper so you can get off the grid for many days at a time. As a rental, these Motorhomes are generally on the move most days so having the likes of solar power is not so important.
The DeLuxe refurbishment programme is the most extensive in the Country for the Talvor Hercules and we are very excited to present a Motorhome that new owners can be very proud of.
