Habitation Warranty on all Used - Caravans / Campervans / Motorhomes
Used Caravans / Campervans / Motorhomes have a 3-month company backed warranty valid from the date of handover (this date is recorded on the warranty document signed on day of collection).
This warranty is not transferable.
We have thoroughly inspected your Caravan / Campervan / Motorhome before handover to you and have rectified any defects noted at the time.
What the warranty covers
We will repair or at our discretion, replace any defects in parts, fittings or body structure that arise within the warranty period. If original parts are unavailable, appropriate replacements will be used.

The warranty does not cover the following:
In the event of any warranty claim with the Caravan / Campervan / Motorhome you must contact DeLuxe RV Group in the first instance.
We will co-ordinate for an immediate assessment of your RV and make appropriate arrangements for repair. Our company will not accept liability for any associated travelling or other costs. Costs for repairs undertaken without prior approval will also not be accepted.

- The use of the Caravan / Motorhome as permanent living accommodation.
- Defects caused by inappropriate use or because of storm, flood, frost, accident, or damage.
- Defects caused because of a lack of proper maintenance (e.g. failure to winterise/drain down).
- Water ingress caused using pressure washers or inappropriate cleaning machinery.
- Defects arising from any repairs carried out by the purchaser or a third party.
- Any item not fitted as part of the manufacturer's original specification.
- Any item subject to normal wear and tear, including but not limited to: curtains, cushions, carpets, upholstery, work surfaces, glass, paintwork, tyres, wheel/axle alignment, batteries, gas bottles, bulbs, LEDs, fuses, entertainment systems.
In the event of any warranty claim with the Caravan / Campervan / Motorhome you must contact DeLuxe RV Group in the first instance.

DeLuxe RV Group provide all second-hand Campervans / Motorhomes which have expired factory warranties with a 12-month Protecta Mechanical Breakdown Insurance policy.
At the time of sale customers are offered the chance to purchase an extension to this policy of either an additional 12 or 24 months. We greatly encourage customers to take up this offer as it is at a heavy discounted rate and adds peace of mind.
In accordance with Protecta Insurance Guidelines all second-hand vans come with either a new service or a thorough check having been completed by DeLuxe RV Group.
This policy is not transferable.

The Motorhome engine and drive train must also be serviced in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer - for example Fiat, Peugeot, Volkswagen or Protecta Insurance (failure to maintain your mechanical servicing will void your warranty).

DeLuxe RV offer two levels of Habitation service for Pilote, Le Voyageur and Bailey Motorhomes and Caravans sold by authorised dealers around
New Zealand.
Both service options meet the requirements outlined in the Water Ingress warranty documents. Our service options are designed to meet individual customers needs and requirements, should you wish to discuss this further please feel free to contact Brett.
Services which you can choose from -
Water Integrity Check $340.00
The basic service check includes a full water ingress check on your habitation unit and a body skin integrity check. You will then have your vehicle signed off as having been through your annual water ingress warranty check and it will then be lodged with your manufacturer.
Comprehensive Service Check $540.00
The comprehensive service check includes a full water ingress check on your habitation unit alongside the following items – Skylights, joints, hinges, doors, windows, operation of all components, water supply, hot air supply, gas supply (this isn’t a warrant of fitness), electrical supply (this isn’t a warrant of fitness), step, wiper blades, connection between chassis and body, added extras installed at time of purchase and a general look around your motorhomes for any areas of concern. This check is highly recommended on your first service.

Please note that all Dethleffs annual inspections incur an additional fee of $70.00 – this is to cover the cost of the sealant spray which must be applied as part of your annual inspection. This is compulsory as per Dethleffs instruction.
The cost of the above service is relative to DeLuxe RV Group only, we are unable to control what other dealers may wish to charge for the same levels of service.
