We are proud to sponsor the Tasman Makos again this year and loved the opportunity to meet some of the players yesterday.
The team at Deluxe RV wishes the Makos a great start to the championship and we can't wait to cheer the boys on!!! You all know how much we love our Pilote motorhomes and most of you are familiar with the layout of the 7.4m long Pacific and Galaxy models. As much as they seem nearly perfect when it comes to practicality, storage, style, and finish, sometimes people are looking for a vehicle a little shorter and bit different. We recently imported a 2023 Fiat Ducato Pilote Pacific P696D and this model showcases a complete different approach and I am more than happy to share some pictures and thoughts. I personally fell in love with the spacious layout and can't wait to sell and hand over the vehicle to its first lucky owner. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions or interest regarding the P696D motorhome and click on the link below to view additional pictures and specifications!!! https://www.deluxegroup.co.nz/Detail.html?id=2563069&veh=2023-Fiat-Ducato-Pilote-P696D-4-Berth&pageNumber=1&sort=1&pageSize=12 This compact low-profile measures 6.90m and has been designed to meet the needs of tourers looking for large interiors. A clever floorplan gives an XXL interior featuring a maxi-lounge, a maxi- sleeping area, a large kitchen with a generously-sized fridge, a large bathroom and changing area as well as plenty of storage. Above:
The rear wall hides another large storage space including pull out drawers, hanger and shelving as well as access to the boot. Pilote promises "XXL Spaces In A Compact Vehicle" and certainly delivers on the brief. Feel free to let me know your thoughts and pop in to check it out!!! Many modern European motorhomes are fitted with the Truma Combi Habitation and Hot Water Heating System and winter is the time of the year when the unit usually gets a good workout.
Unfortunately, winter is also the time we get the most related trouble shooting calls and are often asked how to reset the system. The most common fault is when you either run out of gas or have changed the gas bottle without turning the hot water system off prior and the boiler fails to ignite on gas. Your operating screen will show the E517 H fault code and your system will not work. Please ensure the system has access to gas prior to resetting it. Option 1: Ensure both your habitation and hot water heating is turned off completely (no items displayed above the line on your Truma screen) and wait for 20-25 minutes. This often resets the system and there is no need to perform a hard reset (Option 2). Option 2: Ensure the fault code is displaying on your operating screen. Perform a hard reset. It's always a great weekend away and many RV enthusiasts catch up whilst staying at the show.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Hamilton!!! We are moving 155km south from Te Anau to Invercargill. It's New Zealand's most southern city and is often overlooked by many which makes it an even better weekend destination. As a matter of fact, never having visited Invercargill myself, thoroughly enjoyed researching the city as a destination and have now added the town to my travel list. Enjoy the article and feel free to send me a note if you recently visited Invercargill or if you are a local and are happy to share a few secret spots. It's easy to navigate around the wide streets of Invercargill. New Zealand's southernmost city has plenty of character and a warm, friendly heart." Invercargill - Things to see and do - South Island | New Zealand (newzealand.com) "New Zealand’s southernmost city was founded in the 1850’s and with a population in excess of approximately 60,000, Invercargill is the capital of Southland. From a visitor’s point of view, Invercargill is well-equipped with an excellent range of shops and a selection of lively bars and restaurants. Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco heritage buildings give the city a charming old-world character. And just minutes from the city centre there is a great array of coastal landscapes for visitors to explore from the long coastal highway of Oreti Beach, to the native wonders of Waituna Wetlands and Omaui, or the boardwalk on the estuary and heritage wharfs. It may appear Invercargill is obsessed with anything that has wheels. You too can experience ‘wheel-mania’. Watch cyclists, or take a ride at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome or discover the world class vintage truck collection at Bill Richardson Transport World (Bill Richardson Transport World - Create Memories » Bill Richardson Transport World). Alternatively, celebrate Invercargill’s motorcycle history at Classic Motorcycle Mecca and learn about the legend of speed - Burt Munro at E Hayes Motorworks (E Hayes Motorworks collection of classic and vintage motor vehicles. Burt Munro's Authentic, Original and Legendary 1920 Indian Scout. Motorcycles, cars, engines and memorabilia).
